Description

The Point of Control (POC) is a concept used in market analysis, particularly in the context of volume analysis, and it is often associated with the Market Profile chart. The POC represents the price level at which the highest volume of trading occurred within a specified time period.

Properties

  • Period [default: 14, range: 1–∞] — The parameter sets n number of bars back to calculate the average price.
  • PercentVolArea [default: 70, range: 1–∞] — percent Volume Area in a Volume Profile chart is the percentage of total trading volume that occurred within a specific price range or area. It helps traders gauge the significance of a particular price level by showing what portion of the overall trading volume occurred there. This information can be useful for identifying key support or resistance levels and making trading decisions.
